    • 二、教学目标:

    1.能听、说、读、写taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter等有关比较级的单词。

    2.能初步了解形容词比较级的一般规律,懂得than是比较的意思,than的前面要用形容词的比较级。

    3.能正确使用You are taller / … than your brother. Yes! I’m 160 cm tall. He’s 159 cm tall.等句子,并根据实际情境进行描述。

    • 三、教学内容:

    1.词汇:taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter。

    2.句型:You are taller than your brother. Yes! I’m 160 cm tall. He’s 159 cm tall.

    • 四、教学重难点:

    1.重点:四会掌握taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter五个新单词。

    2.难点:懂得单位cm即centimeter,并能正确朗读;会正确使用本课句型 You are …er than .... 进行描述。

    • 五、教学准备:

    课件、录音机、磁带、单词卡片、测量身高工具(建议可画墙上)等。

    五、教学过程:   

    • Step1.Warm-up

    1.复习有关形容词的词汇tall, short, young, old, pretty, cute, beautiful, fat, thin, smart,并在复习过程中出现新单词heavy, light

    复习说:

    Talk about Sue’s family

    Who is this man/woman?

    What’s he/she like?

    学生活动:跟随教师的思路,并说出自己知道的有关表达外貌的词语并进行单词拼写。

    设计意图:

    通过头脑风暴的形式,运用对比复习有关单词big, small, tall, short, young, old, fat, thin, cute, smart等单词,并在此过程中出现heavy, light。为下一步的教学和学习打

    2. Leading-in

    T: Thanks for telling me about your friend’s information .Our winter holiday is over. During the winter holiday are you taller than before? How tall are you?

    T:I am …cm tall.

    S1: I am…cm tall.

    T:Oh,A is …cm tall, B is…cm tall,so so we can say:…is taller than….Do you know “taller”?

    板书:How tall are you?           I am…cm            A taller than B.

    讲解taller的意思是“更高的”,than是比较的意思,than前面要用形容词比较级(v-er)。

    Explain the meaning of taller and than.

    In front of than  must be comparative adjectives.

    [设计意图:通过师生近距离的交流,利用班内学生这些现成的资源进行教学,简单易操作,而且可以提高学生的实际运用能力。让学生初步感知比较级用法引出课题。]

    2.free talk: let’s talk about your friends,what are the differences between you and your friend?

    [设计意图:利用概念图给出支架,让学生交流朋友的信息,发现与朋友的区别。打开学生的思维,给学生语用的空间,把课堂还给学生,通过师生,生生交流朋友的基本信息,操练学生的口语,发挥学生的学习主动性,提高学生综合运用语言的能力。复习学过的相关形容词原形,为新授形容词比较级做准备。]

     

    本部分老师通过对学生的比较初步引出比较级,然后对比较级从语法的角度作以诠释,我认为应该通过事物或是图片让学生自己理解其含义并了解比较级的句型结构,然后通过大量的练说渗透让学生自己掌握。

    • Step2.Presenltation

    1、打开课件,讲解cm(centimeter)的发音并领读两遍。

    Show the PPT, teach the students the pronunciation of cm(centimeter)and read the word two times.

    2、出示刘翔和姚明的图片:

    Show the pictures of liuxiang and YaoMing:

    T:Look at this picture. Who are they?

    Ss:He is liuxiang and he is YaomMing.

    T:How tall is liuxiang?

    Ss:He is 213 cm tall.

    T:How tall is YaoMing?

    Ss:YaoMing is 226cm tall.

    Teach the sentence pattern:___is taller tall____.

    Use the way to teach the rest of new words:shorter/stronger/older/younger

    设计意图:用学生熟悉的人物导入。引导学生根据图片理解句子比较级加er用红色表示,引起学生注意。运用单词的反义关系引出教学,有利于学生更好地理解与运用。在教学taller和shorter的基础上教学younger和older,从扶到放,引导学生操练并运用重点句型。利用对比强烈的人物进行教学,可以牢牢地吸引学生的注意力。

    • Step3.Practise

    1.Let’s chant:Help the students to memorize the new words.

    Taller, taller, I’m taller than you.

    Shorter, shorter, you’re shorter than me.

    Younger, younger, I’m younger than you.

    Older, older, you’re older than me.

    Stronger, stronger, I’m stronger than you

    设计意图:巩固新学单词,通过观察板书,总结比较级的一般规律。借助chant进一步帮助学生巩固单词。

    2、Fill in the blanks:Can you say?看图完成句子

    Finish the sentences according to the pictures.

    设计意图:及时进行操练巩固,帮助学生更好地掌握新授知识。

    • Step4.Consolidationandextension

    1.Reading a dialodge.

    A: How tall are you? 

    B: I am 160 cm tall.

    A: You’re 4cm taller than me.  How heavy are you?

    B.I am 46kg.

    A. I’m thinner than you .How big are your feet?

    B.I wear size 35.

    A.How long is your hair?

    B. 7cm.

    A.How old are you?

    B.I'm 13 years old.

    A. You’re younger than me.Thank you very much.

    B. You’re welcome.

    2.Reading2  let’s read and pay attention to the adj +er than ....(圈出有关形容词比较级的词)

    Jack is my good friend. He is an American boy. His parents are in China now. They are teachers. They teach English. I’m 2 years older than Jack , he is younger than me .but he’s taller than me. He’s 162cm tall and he’s 50kg. I’m 2cm shorter than he.but I’m stronger than Jack. I’m 55kg.He has short hair and big eyes. Jack is now in No. 2 Middle School. He’s a good student. He likes football. We often play football together.

    3.let’s read again and answer the questions:

    Who’s my friend ?

    How old is he ?

    How tall/heavy is he ?

    4.Reading3

    Dad: Which monkey do you like, Ben?

    Ben: I like the yellow one.Look, it’s taller than the brown one.

    Dad: Which monkey is stronger?

    Ben: The brown monkey is stronger. But the yellow monkey is taller.

    Dad: I like the little monkey. It’s younger and funnier.

    Ben: How long is its tail?

    Dad: I think the little monkey is only 40 cm tall. Its tail is about 30cm long.

    设计意图:学生小组合作采访相关信息,复习巩固新旧知识,在实际中能够灵活应用形容词的比较级进行描述。
